If they do get the "Input string was not in a correct format" - just rename your xls file to csv then upload the file to AERIES and it works
Thank you for the suggestion, but we do not recommend altering test result data files in any way. Saving a data file to a xls or xlsx format and then re-saving it as a csv file has the potential of altering the data by stripping leading zeroes or changing the format of the dates. Doing this could cause the data file to be unreadable by our software.

Recently customers have been experiencing an "Input string was not in a correct format" error when attempting to import the AP test results. This error occurs when the data is not in the correct format because each entire record is encased in quotes (ex., "123456, Lastname,Firstname,...,2").
When the AP test results are downloaded they need to be converted to a csv file using the Part 1 directions on the AP Central College Board site... from our documentation:
https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000069300-test-specific-information-ap
The AP test result data file can be fixed by stripping the quotes using a text editor (not Excel) or a new data file can be downloaded from College Board using ONLY the Part 1 instructions (not the Part 2 or Part 3 instructions).
