What is reconciliation? Which reconciliation approach should be used? ↑
In Aeries, reconciliation is called ODS Audit/Reconciliation Process.
Aeries recommends using the ODS Audit/Reconciliation Process that is located on a tab within CALPADS Extracts. The ODS Audit/Reconciliation Process is designed to take the CALPADS ODS Extract file and validate the data against what is currently known in Aeries. This process will adjust CALPADS data to be aligned with Aeries data. As a result, subsequent submissions will be more successful. If you have many re-occurring errors for many students, this is an efficient method for updating CALPADS with your data.
There are three files that can be reconciled through this audit process: SENR, SPRG, SELA. Use the following links for further information:

Many records were loaded into Aeries during the ODS Audit/Reconciliation Process, why does the SENR extraction contain less records? ↑
Only the records that need to be changed will be in the SENR extraction that will be uploaded to CALPADS.
What County, District, School code should be populated at the District School 0 for a database that contains more than one LEA? ↑
When a database has multiple Districts within the LEA, they must choose one of those district county codes to use and populate in the Distict CDS code fields. Leaving this field blank or populating with zeros can cause the extract process to not properly generate records in many of the CALPADS extract processes.
It is suggested to populate the District School 0's CDS code with the value for the school records being generated. Then when processing the 2nd LEA, the CDS code for District School 0 must be changed to the other LEAs CDS code before generating the CALPADS extracts.
