The Career Pathways Mass Add Events page is designed to allow User and Teacher type accounts, with the appropriate permissions, to mass add Career Pathway Outcomes (CPO) and Career Pathway Experiences (CPE) records to students who have a Career Pathway record for the selected pathway, at any level. The page is available only for California districts.

Filter Pages by Career or navigate to Student Data > Programs > Career Pathways Mass Add Events.

Selecting a pathway from the Career Pathway drop down and selecting the Show all students checkbox will display all students with a Career Pathway (CPW) record for that pathway. When viewing this page in the Teacher Portal, only the students assigned to the teacher will display. Granting permission to View All Students in Current School in Security will allow a teacher to see all students within a selected pathway at that school. If a teacher does not have View All Students in Current School permissions, the teacher will not see the Show all students checkbox.

At the top of the checkbox column, click the checked-box icon to select all students or the empty-box icon to clear all selections.

If an Experience or Outcome should be added to multiple students within one or more sections, users and teachers can use the Section Filter to reduce the list of students within a career pathway to the students who are also in one or more sections. The Show/Hide Section Filter button can be clicked to show or hide the Section Filter. If Show All Students is checked, the Section Filter will not be displayed.

When the Section Filter is displayed, the Master Schedule can be filtered to reduce the list of students in a selected Career Pathway to the list of students in a particular section or sections.  The section list shows the school’s sections (teachers see only their own sections). After you click Filter, only students in the selected pathway who are enrolled in a pathway-linked course in one of the selected sections are listed (for more information on how to link courses to a pathway, see the Career Pathways Tab on the Courses Page documentation).

In the example below, the Design, Visual, and Media Arts (111) Career Pathway has been selected. Then the Section Filter was used to reduce the list to students in section 1116 by first clicking on Teacher, then teacher name Long, on the section information, and finally on the Filter button.

A list of students in the selected section will display below the filter. Each student’s name is a link that opens the student’s Career Pathways page in a new tab. Click the checkbox by any or all students to select them. Once the group of students is selected, the Outcome or Experience can be added.

Add Experience to Selected Student(s)

This portion of the page will add Experiences (CPE.TY) to more than one student at once. Some items in the drop down below are hard coded according to CCPT reporting standards. However, more codes can be added in the Update Code Table form (CPE.TY).  The page may need to be refreshed after adding a Code for it to show up in the drop down.

When adding Experiences, both the Experience Type (CPE.TY) and the Compensation Type (CPE.CT) are required. When attempting to add an Experience without these fields, the message below will display and the missing fields will highlight in red.

After the required fields are populated, clicking on the Disk icon will mass add the Experiences to all students selected.

Add Outcome to Selected Student(s)

This portion of the page adds an Outcome (CPO.OC) to more than one student at once. Some items in the drop down below are hard coded according to CCPT reporting standards. However, more codes can be added in the Update Code Table form (CPO.OC).  The page may need to be refreshed after adding a Code for it to show up in the drop down.

Select an Outcome, optionally enter the Date (CPO.OD) and a Comment, and click the Disk icon. All selected students are updated with the Outcome. The Outcome is required; if it is not selected, the message Please check that an Outcome has been selected from the dropdown. displays.
