The Career Pathway Extract Files extracts Career Pathway information for analysis, evaluation, and aggregation for California Career Pathways Trust (CCPT) reporting. This information can also be imported into other systems like Cal-PASS Plus's CTE LaunchBoard. The page is available only for California districts.

Filter Pages by "extract files" or navigate to School Info > Imports and Exports > Career Pathway Extract Files.

To use the Career Pathway Extract Files page, a user needs the Administer permission on the Career Pathways (CPW) security area (Programs group). Without it, the menu item does not appear. The district’s Transcripts (HIS) table must also be ID-based; otherwise the page shows Your HIS table is not ID-based. You can not run this program.

Before creating the extract files, select the subject areas to include for English, Math, Science and History: select the checkbox next to each subject area you want counted in each group. Your selections are saved for the district and are preselected the next time the page is opened.

Click Save / Confirm Settings after selecting the subject areas. The extract buttons in the Extracts column stay disabled (Extract buttons are disabled until the options are saved / confirmed.) until the settings are saved. Click a button to download that file as a tab-delimited text file:

• Create Student Cohort File – students in each pathway for the current school year (pathway code, SSID, local ID, name, birth date, gender, school CDS code and year in the pathway).
• Create Pathway Characteristics File – yes/no characteristics of each pathway.
• Create Pathway Activities File – counts per pathway: students with a C or better in the selected subject areas and pathway courses, experiences by type, diplomas, and certificates/licenses earned.
