Email notifications can be sent to specific people when Intervention Referrals are submitted or approved. The email addresses are set up for each school in School Options. Navigate to School Info | School Options, click Edit, and scroll to the Intervention Referral Settings section. Separate the email addresses with a comma or semicolon when entering multiple email addresses into the fields.

  • Referral Submission Notification Email Address(s) – These addresses are emailed when a new referral is first saved on the Referrals to Interventions page. The person who submitted the referral is also copied. The email lists the student and the Reasons for Referral.
  • Referral Approval Notification Email Address(s) – These addresses are emailed when a referral is approved with the Approve button on the Referrals Approval page. The person who approved it is also copied. The email says whether a meeting was scheduled and includes the meeting details. Changing the Status directly on the referral does not send this email.

Other Intervention emails are sent automatically and do not use these settings:

  • When a referral is approved or denied on the Referrals Approval page, the staff member on the referral is emailed with the reason the approver entered.
  • When a meeting is scheduled while approving a referral (Intervention Referral Approval), or a new meeting is added on the Meetings tab (Intervention Meetings), the intervention's stakeholders are emailed a meeting invitation.
