This error, most likely, occurs because enrollment updates (SENR, SINF, SELA and SPRG) did not fully post error-free or the student has duplicate enrollments within the district..

Do not worry about ANY CERT errors until after the enrollment updates (SENR, SINF, SELA and SPRG) files have been posted with few to no errors.  Most CERT errors are caused by file extracts that have not yet been posted error-free or from data that has not been correctly populated in Aeries.

Resolution:

Addressing this issue depends on how extensive the errors are.  Resubmitting the enrollment updates (SENR, SINF, SELA and SPRG) may resolve the error.  However, if there are many errors, running a Reconciliation process may be the best resolve.  Until all files have been posted error-free, do not attempt to resolve the CERT errors.

A student cannot have multiple open or closed enrollment records within a school that are duplicates.  Delete duplicate enrollment records in CALPADS.

  • If a student is concurrently enrolled within the district, confirm that the concurrent enrollment type is coded as secondary (20).
  • If there are many errors, confirm that the SENR posted.
  • If this error is extensive, use the ODS Reconciliation/Audit Process to reconcile the file.
