SuperClasses are a JumpRope feature included with the Attendance add-on. A SuperClass is a roster of combined, concurrently scheduled class sections. This roster can be used to take attendance and can also be used for Planning and Grade score entry.
SuperClass Attendance
When the Attendance add-on is enabled, for any class sections that are concurrently scheduled for a given teacher (same period, same day, same teacher), JumpRope will automatically combine the rosters for the purposes of taking attendance. You do not have to explicitly create a SuperClass if you only need the rosters combined for attendance.
In a teacher's Attendance menu this combined set of classes is identified by an * listed as the section number. The class name that is displayed will be the first alphabetically of the class sections that are being combined and will also be identified with an *.
Combined classes on the attendance list cannot be separated.
For the purposes of Planning and Grading, a teacher can choose to explicitly combine these classes into a SuperClass. Read more here about Plan and Grade features of SuperClasses.
