When attempting to Initialize ATT/CAR, the following error appears: 

You must have an Absence Codes (ABS) Table Defined in order to perform this process. 

Cause

No Absence codes exist in the ABS Table for the current site

Resolution

Create absence codes for the current site. 

There are two options to create absence codes:

1. Manually add Absence Codes

• Navigate to the Update Absence Codes page
• Click Add New Record
• Enter Code, Descriptions, and Abbreviation
• Select applicable options in both columns
• Click Save

2. Push/Pull Absence Codes using the Push/Pull Table
