To print assignment information for students, click Reports on the gradebook menu bar, then click Gradebook Assignments By Student. The following window will display.
On the Gradebook(s) To Print tab, check one or more gradebooks. The gradebook you are working in is checked automatically. Checking a gradebook shows its Assignments and Students lists, where you can select or deselect what to print. All assignments and all active students are selected (inactive students are not checked). If you opened the report from a student's Scores by Student page, only that student is selected. Use Sort Assignment in Selection Box By to list the assignments by Assignment Number or Due Date.

Click the Options tab and the following page will display.

The Email To Parents button lets teachers email each selected student's assignment report to that student's parents/guardians, contacts and the student at any time. After you confirm ("Are you sure you want to send this email?"), the emails are sent in the background, and you receive a summary email titled Email Gradebook Assignments by Student Summary listing who was emailed for each student. Your Aeries account's email address is used as the sender. The button is not shown to users with read-only access to the gradebook.
For each selected student, one email is sent to every address on file for that student:
- contacts with an email address and Access to Portal set to Yes
- the Parent Email and Student Email on the student's demographics
- every Parent Portal account linked to the student
The subject line is the student's name, the gradebook name and "Assignments" (for example, "Jane Smith - English 9 Assignments"). Each email sent is recorded in the email log.
The following is an example of the Gradebook Assignments By Student.

When the report is emailed to the parent, the email will include the report information in the body of the email, not as an attachment.
Missing assignments: the Gradebook Missing Assignments and Gradebook Missing Assignments By Class reports open this same window with missing-assignment settings turned on. See Gradebook Missing Assignments Report.
NOTE: When emailing a gradebook report to parents, the Parents / Students selection from the Hide the Overall Percentage / Trend Analysis Score and Display the Final Mark gradebook options will be used to determine whether the Overall Score and/or Final Mark will be included in the email.
