Introductory level courses can be used in more than one pathway. Use the state course code of the most prominent Career Pathway when reporting this course. Pathway status is reported in the CALPADS SCTE file, and only for students marked Participants (Completer). The Introductory course counts toward Completer status only if Require Introductory Course is selected for the pathway on the Career Pathways Management page. To use one course in several pathways, add a row for each pathway on the course’s Career Pathways tab (Courses page), or add the course under each pathway on the Career Pathways Management page. This applies to California districts, where the Career Pathways pages are available. 

CTE courses must be defined within the appropriate Career Pathway code as referenced in the CALPADS Valid Combinations - Course Group Master Combos.
