The District Settings page includes the option Use New Career Pathways (CPW) tables instead of old "CTE Pathways (Perkins)" (CTE) table. From the 2016-2017 school year on, this option is always on and cannot be changed (the checkbox is greyed out); it could only be turned on or off in the 2015-2016 school year and earlier. Career Pathways is a California feature.

The District Settings page can be found at the District level (School Code 0) on the navigation tree under School Info > Configurations > District Settings. It is secured by the District Rules security area. The District Settings page can also be found under View all Forms.

Because the option is on, the old CTE Pathways (CTE) table is disabled in Aeries.

A Convert CTE to CPW button displays next to the option on the District Settings page (when viewing the settings, not in edit mode). Click it to copy students’ CTE Pathways (CTE) data into the Career Pathways (CPW) and Career Pathway History (CPH) tables.

NOTE:  Convert CTE to CPW copies all years of CTE data and can be run more than once without creating duplicates; records that already exist in CPW/CPH are skipped. The CTE data is not changed or deleted. The Completed flag is copied to Career Pathways (CPW.CM), and each year’s Academic Year and School are copied to Career Pathway History (CPH.AY, CPH.SCL). The history Level (CPH.LVL) is not filled in: set the Level on the student’s Career Pathways page or with the Career Pathways Management page if the records need to report to CALPADS.

After you click Convert CTE to CPW, the message CTE Table Converted to the CPW and CPH Tables displays briefly.

NOTE (legacy): The (Perkins) tab on the Secondary Stu Data page displays only for students who have existing Perkins data. On that tab, the CTE Pathways records are read only and new records cannot be added; the following message displays.
