The Query Change Command allows users to update Aeries data via the Query feature. More information on the command can be found in Aeries Query documentation.
To use the Query Change command, a User type account will need Mass Update permissions to BOTH the table they will be updating and the Query Change Command security area. For example, the user below has permissions to both Mass Update Student Data (STU), as well as the Query Change Command. They will also be able to use the Query Change command to change data in the STU table.
After a Query Change Command is entered, the following Query Change Confirmation message will display. The query statement and the number of records that will be changed will display. Click on the OK button to continue with the query change or the Cancel button to cancel.
All Query Change Commands are logged in the LOG table with the Aeries Query, the equivalent SQL statement, and the numbers of records changed.
