When attempting to print an Assertive Discipline record, the following error is displayed: System has generated an error, please try again. Error message undefined.
Cause
- Blanks - The Assertive Discipline record contains blank or invalid dates in the Administrative Decision section.
- Invalid Date - Calendar is missing or a non-school day is populated
The report engine cannot process missing or invalid values and fails to generate the print output.
Resolution
Open the affected Assertive Discipline record and populate all three date fields in the Administrative Decision section with valid dates:
- Start Date
- End Date
- Return Date
Each date must meet both of the following conditions:
- Falls within the current school year
- Falls on an active school day as defined in the school year Calendar — not a weekend, holiday, or non-instructional day
Once valid dates are saved, the print output will generate successfully.
NOTE: If the dates appear correct but the error persists, confirm that those specific dates are set up as active calendar days in Aeries. A date marked as a non-school day in the Calendar will still trigger this error.
