Table | Permission | Description |
---|---|---|
Master Schedule (MST) | Read Insert Update Delete | View page Add new record Update records Delete Records |
Scheduling Master (SMS) | Read Insert Update Delete | View page Add new record Update records Delete Records |
Section Staff Members (SSE or SSM) | Inherited from MST and SMS tables | Add new codes |
Configuration Process ↑
For both MST and SMS cases, when the process is run in a flex scheduling school, the process will create one teacher aide section for the given course number. In cases where more than one section exists for a teacher, (same teacher, period, and class calendar), only one teacher aide section will be created. If a teacher aide section already exists for a given section, the process will not create a duplicate. The Term and Room numbers will be copied to the teacher aide sections from the respective SMS or MST tables. The Lo and High grade levels are copied from the Course (CRS) table.
Sections with no assigned primary teacher, flex period, or class calendar will be skipped. These new features allow the process to be re-run as sections are assigned a teacher, period, and class calendar. The process does not delete any pre-existing teacher aide sections.
NOTE: In flex schools, the term options will no longer be available.
Tables ↑
Depending on the complexity of the page, you may want to show where data is stored and how it works.
Table | Field | Description |
Master Schedule (MST) | Course Number (CN) | Select the Teacher Aide Course: This will populate the Course Number for the new TA section |
Scheduling Master (SMS) | Course Number (CN) | Select the Teacher Aide Course: This will populate the Course Number for the new TA section |
MST/SMS | Max Students (MST.MX or SMS.MX) | Enter the maximum number of students in each section. This will populate the Max value in the MST or SMS tables |
Section Staff Members | Primary Teacher SSE.PR = 1 for MST SSM.PR = 1 for SMS | Selecting the option "Include Only the Primary Teacher on each section for the new Teacher Aide Section" will limit the sections created to only include a section for the Primary Teacher of the section. |
Options ↑
On the form, select the Teacher Aide Course using the magnifying glass lookup icon and search button. Enter the maximum number of students for each section. This number will populate in the MAX field on the newly created TA section.
- When the option to Include Only the Primary Teacher on each section for the new Teacher Aide Section is selected, this will trigger the system to only include adding the primary teacher to the new TA section. Primary Teachers have a Primary Teacher Indicator equal to "yes' in the Section Staff Members section of the MST or SMS tables (SSE.PR = 1).
- When the option is 'unselected', then all staff (Primary and non-primary) will copy to the newly created TA section.
