Issue

When attempting to run the Initialize ATT/CAR process, the following error message occurs: You must define ALL Terms you use in your Master Schedule in the Term (TRM) Table in order to perform this process, and the missing Term is listed in the error message.


Cause

There are Sections in the Master Schedule that have a Term code that is missing from the Terms table. 


Resolution

Run a Query of the MST table to identify Sections using the Term listed in the error message. 

  • LIST MST SE SM IF SM = x 
    • x should be changed to the missing Term

From the Master Schedule page, go to the Sections listed in the Query results

  • If those Sections have no students listed and are not being used, it is not enough to set the Section's Status to Inactive, they must be deleted.
  • If there are valid Sections with the missing Term, then the Terms table needs to be updated with all the correct Terms and the date ranges.  

Once the valid Terms have been established and the Master Schedule only contains Sections with valid Terms, the Initialize ATT/CAR process will run successfully.


Note: Other than the Year (Y) Term that encompasses all dates of the school year, Term dates cannot overlap.
