The Physical Fitness Test Management page allows you to run functions that calculate physical fitness status, recalculate body mass index, percentage of body fat, and the VO2Max score (when permitted) for all students. Typically the body mass index, percentage of body fat and VO2Max are calculated as the data is entered into Aeries, but if the Physical Fitness raw test scores were imported from another vendor these values may not be populated.

The Physical Fitness Test Management page can be found under School Info -> Functions -> Physical Fitness Test Management in the navigation.

Security

Functions

There are four functions available on the Physical Fitness Management page: Calculate Physical Fitness Status for All Students, Recalculate Body Mass Index for All Students, Recalculate Percentage Body Fat for All Students, and Recalculate VO2Max Scores for All Students.

Calculate Physical Fitness Status

The Calculate Physical Fitness Status function will allow you to update the Testing Pass Status (TPS) table. The TPS table stores the individual Pass Flags for the 5th, 7th and 9th grade Physical Fitness Tests as well as the Overall Status for these administrations. This function should only be used if the Passed/Not Passed flags have been updated either manually or through an imported file containing these flags.

The program will use the Passed/Not Passed flags from the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) table to determine which Categories have been passed and will update the TPS table accordingly. When 5 out of 6 of the categories have been passed in the current or prior Testing Administrations the Overall Status will be updated in the TPS table indicating the student no longer has to take the Physical Fitness test.

To run the function click on the Calculate Physical Fitness Status for All Students button. A message box will display to confirm that you want to continue. click the OK button if you are sure that you want to continue.

NOTE:

NOTE: The logic to auto-calculate VO2max has been disabled when Aerobic Capacity is flagged for PACER and the Test Date is on or after Nov 1, 2013.

The VO2Max is a proprietary calculation for only the PACER. We are permitted to calculate the VO2Maxfor the Mile Run and the Walk Test. The auto-calculate of the VO2Max and the Recalculate VO2Max function were both updated to not calculate for the PACER tests. The auto-calculate of the VO2Max uses the Aerobic Capacity test that is flagged as either Mile Run (PFT.AC = 2) or Walk Test (PFT.AC = 3).

*If the teachers (TeacherPFT.aspx) first enters a PACER score, it sets PFT.AC = 1 and VO2Max is not updated. Then if the teacher enters a Mile Run or Walk Test score, the system does not update the PFT.AC value because the PACER has been determined to be the "main" Aerobic Capacity test, so VO2Max is still not recalculated.
