Custom Reports use the following tables:

• CRC    Custom Report Configurations
• CRI      Custom Report Items
• CRA    Custom Report Access
• CRG    Custom Report Groups
• CRL     Custom Report Layout (Color Layouts)

The Security area for Custom Reports (CRC) is in the Other section of the Security page. Only the Update and Administer permissions can be set for it. The Query Only entries for the other Custom Report tables (Access, Groups, Items and Layout) only allow those tables to be read in Query; they don’t give access to the Custom Reports page.

• Update to Custom Reports – allows users to create reports and Color Layouts, and to edit or delete the reports and layouts they own. On the Custom Reports page they see only their own reports. On View All Reports they also see reports that an administrator has shared with their security group.
• Administer to Custom Reports – allows users to create, edit and delete Custom Report Items, view and edit all users’ reports and Color Layouts, share reports with security groups, and import Aeries Client custom reports (Import MDP Report). The Custom Report Items menu only appears for users with Administer.

Users don’t need Custom Reports permission to run a report that has been shared with their security group. They print it from the Custom Reports tab of View All Reports; the Edit Custom Reports button only appears for users with Update or Administer.
