How do I manage a student's scores when they change sections of the same course?

When a student moves to a different section of the same course, their scores don't automatically transfer to the new section's Grade sheet. However, these scores are not lost. Here's what you need to know and do:

  1. Existing scores: The student's original scores remain on their record and are visible in:
    1. The 'old' section's Grade sheet
    2. The Mastery report for their current class
  2. New section Grade sheet: The Grade sheet for the new section will be empty for assignments entered in the old section.
  3. Options for managing scores:
    1. Leave as is:
      1. Keep the scores in the 'old' section Grade sheet
      2. Start entering new scores in the 'new' section from the point the student enrolled
      3. Leave score cells empty for older assignments in the new section
      4. JumpRope will automatically combine scores from all sections for overall course grades
    2. Transfer scores:
      1. Re-enter the scores in the 'new' section
      2. Delete the scores from the 'old' section to avoid duplicates

Important: If you enter scores in both the old and new sections, you'll create duplicate entries.
