To enable auto-translation, JumpRope uses the Google Translate API. We recognize that this does not always produce an ideal translation, but it is quite accurate and always improving. If you run into a scenario where a translation is in need of improvement, you can contact Google using this site. In order to avoid any major miscommunications, JumpRope always includes the untranslated version of the report using your unmodified language for standards, etc., immediately before the translated version.

Below is a list of languages currently supported for our auto-translation features. The available languages have been chosen based on overall popularity as home languages in the United States as well as for technical considerations (e.g. font availability, formatting considerations, and translation quality) - we are working to add additional languages and would like your feedback if we are missing a language you require.

Note: other systems (including the NYC DOE) may use non-standard codes to represent languages. When importing these languages into JumpRope you'll need to use the full name or exact code of the language as listed below for translation to function properly.

* English is currently considered the default language, meaning all translations are assumed to be from English to one of the following languages. If a student's home language is set to English, no translation will be performed.

** Bengali (bn) is currently supported for email and text message communications, but not for PDF reports (coming soon)
