This article tracks the Aeries updates required based on the TREx 2026–2027 Data Standards Change Log (Version 2027.1.0, March 2, 2026). The Texas Records Exchange (TREx) is a web-based application used to exchange electronic student records and transcripts.
Changes fall into two categories: (1) Code Table changes that require Aeries Fixed Codes updates, and (2) Data Element revisions that may require updates to the TREx export files generated from Aeries. As items are developed, tested, and released, each row will be updated with a Release Date. Items with no date listed are either in development or planned for an upcoming release.

TREx Schema Update
A TREx XML Schema (XSD) update will be required to support the 2026–2027 data element and code table changes. TEA has not yet posted the updated schema file. This section will be updated once the schema is published and Aeries development work is scoped.

Code Table Changes — Aeries Fixed Codes Updates
The following TREx Code Table changes require updates to Aeries Fixed Codes tables for TREx table codes. (These changes in TREx code tables should align with the same changes to TWEDS code tables.) Old codes that are no longer valid for the 2026–2027 school year must be set to Inactive. New codes must be added. Aeries page and field references are noted for each table.

This is the largest set of changes. 115 codes have been deleted (set to Inactive) and 225 new codes have been added. This aligns with the TWEDS C214 (Post Secondary Certification Licensure) changes. The complete list of deleted and added codes is documented in the TEA TREx Change Log.
