On the Attendance Dashboard, when a user enters a date range in the Filters and Options ribbon, why are the dates reverting back to the default dates?

Ensure the selected Start and End Dates are dates where school is in session according to the school's Calendar (DAY). If the dates selected fall on a Holiday, weekend, or School Not in Session day, the dates will revert back to the default date ranges.
