Session Description
This session focuses on district practices for maintaining up-to-date and district-approved processes and procedures within Aeries. Districts should periodically evaluate internal processes and procedures to determine any changes are needed in state reporting requirements, district policies, online enrollment processes, and any district software products. This is especialy true for Aeries districts where an update or the availability of a function might prompt a change in district processes and/or procedures. The No Show Manager is a good example - How might a district adjust their first day attendance processes as a result of this functionality?
In addition, performing an internal audit process is also beneficial. Having an internal audit department or external auditor review various processes and procedures is key to ensuring that districtrs are following set district policy. Audits can help to identify training needs, documentation issues, breakdowns in communication, lack of effective controls, etc.
