Session Description

Districts should evaluate their internal processes & procedures periodically to determine if there are any changes that need to be made due to changes in state reporting requirements, district policies, online enrollment processes and within their software products that they use. This is especially true of districts using new student software like Aeries - what functions are available in the software that might require a change in process. The No Show Manager is a good example - how might a district need to adjust their first day attendance process? Performing an internal process audit is beneficial as well. Having your internal audit department, or an external auditor, look at various processes and procedures to determine if they are being followed regarding district policy and any set procedures can help identify training issues, documentation issues, breakdown in communication, lack of effective controls, etc.
