The Texas Assessment SSO (Single Sign On) provides a link for parents to use to sign on to the Texas Assessment website directly from their Aeries Parent Portal account.

Security

On the Portal Groups page, the Parent group will need Read permissions to the TX_Assessment security area:

Security - Texas Assessment SSO permissions

Parent Portal

On the Parent Portal, the link to the Texas Assessment website will be provided in the navigation in both versions of the Parent Portal:

Parent Portal - Texas Assessment link

Parent Portal - old version - Texas Assessment link

When a parent clicks on the Texas Assessment link, Aeries will connect to the Texas Assessment website.

If the parent logs into the Spanish version of the Parent Portal, then the Texas Assessment SSO will take them to the Spanish version of the Texas Assessment site.

Student Demographics

Aeries sends two data values to the Texas Assessment website, in order to identify the correct student:

  • Access code (ESI.EID), stored in the External Student IDs table
  • Birthdate (STU.BD), which is displayed on the Demographics page

If these data are not provided or do not match the Texas Assessment website's data, the link will connect to the Texas Assessment website, but a student will not be identified:

This popup indicates that the student's relevant data (ESI.EID, STU.BD) is missing, incorrect, or does not match the corresponding data in the Texas Assessment system.
