Aeries Revision Notes 2/15/2022

New Features:

  • Scheduling Setup - The Track Primary Classes for Students for Next Year option was added and is only displayed when Use Flex Scheduling for Next Year is selected. The option allows schools that are not currently doing Flex Scheduling to configure Flex Scheduling with primary class tracking when scheduling for next year.  See Flex Scheduling - Scheduling Setup

  • Progress Report by Student - The report title now shows the student ID instead of student number. 

  • Independent Study Agreements

    •  A message has been added to alert users that an agreement document must be uploaded in order to collect signatures. 

    • The edit button on this page has been updated to be available for users with read permission to the ISA table and update to the ISW table.  These users will be able to access the work product evaluation tab and can update existing data. 

  • Independent Study Management

    • Teachers can now update the Work Product Evaluation for multiple students at once in a specified section. See Independent Study Management

    • The digital signature feature has been limited on agreements that do not have an uploaded agreement document.  This change updates this feature to match the agreements page.

California Specific:

  • CALPADS Extracts - The SENR extract has been adjusted as it could include students, from the inactive school, who withdrew during the summer (exit reason 470) but had a home school code that was selected to extract. 

Texas Specific:

  • Texas State Reporting (Summer PEIMS) - Logic was added to the EducationOrgCalendar interchange (E1571 and E1599) to honor new time range (Flex) or period range (Non-flex) as defined on Attendance Reporting Periods. See EducationOrgCalendar Interchange - Field Mapping and Rules

  • Import Test Results - The STAAR EOC file import now saves access codes used for the Texas Assessment website. See Texas Assessment SSO (Single Sign On)

  • Student/Parent Portal - The Texas Assessment link will now attempt to load the Spanish version if the user's current language is Spanish.

Issues Resolved:

  • CERS Student Groups Extract - The extract was not created unless at least one "Additional User with Permissions" was selected, fixed. 

  • Independent Study Agreements - If an English language agreement document is not uploaded and signatures have been applied to another language, those signatures would not display properly, fixed.
