New Features

  • Initialize New Grade Reporting Cycle (GRD), Update Grade Reporting Absence Totals, Initialize New Grade Cycle (SBG), Update SBG Attendance Totals  - These processes have been modified to support the new options to do Elementary Standards Based Grading (SBG) and/or Secondary Grade Reporting (GRD) in the same school.  Documentation for these new features can be found here:  Using Both Standards Based Grades and Secondary Grades in a School
  • Navigation - The navigation has been adjusted to support the new options allowing both Elementary Standards Based Grading (SBG) and Secondary Grade Reporting (GRD) in the same school. 
  • Grading Periods - Standards Based Grading Mark can now be defined for each Grading Period.  It can be set to be "Not used in SBG" if a school is not doing Standards Based Reporting.  Also, Secondary Grading Mark can be set to "Not used in Secondary Grades" if a school is not doing Secondary Grade Reporting. 
  • Gradebook - A new option to determine if a gradebook is using GRD or SBG Grading Periods has been added to the Gradebook for schools using Grading Periods and doing both Secondary (GRD) and Elementary Standards Based Grades (SBG) Grade Reporting. 

  • Portal Navigation - The portal navigation has been adjusted to display appropriate pages based on the student grade level and the new School Options use Elementary Standards Based Grades and Secondary Grade Reporting Grade Ranges. 
  • Master Schedule, Scheduling Master, Backup and Restore Scheduling Results - A new field has been added to these pages to indicate a section as "Multi-School Gradebook Enabled". This field will be used with a future enhancement to Gradebook. 
  • School Options - In Flex Scheduling schools, there is now a new option called "Track Primary Classes for Students".  Work on this new feature is not complete.  In the future, it will be the setting used by Elementary Schools who want to use Flex Scheduling.  Additional notifications will be posted as this feature becomes more complete.
  • Student Attendance Detail, Student Attendance Campus Summary, Student Attendance District Summary (Texas) 

California Specific

  • CALPADS Extracts (California) - The SCSC extract was not including 7 and 8 grade students if the credits attempted (HIS.CR) was zero, fixed. 

Issues Resolved

  • Schedule All Students - In certain cases, the Scheduling Results would display immediately with all zeroes, even though the Scheduler was still running, fixed.  Also, in certain cases, the progress bar never updated while the Scheduler was running, fixed. 
  • Student Attendance Detail, Student Attendance Campus Summary, Student Attendance District Summary (Texas) 
    •  These reports had the potential to report Excess Contact Hours for students incorrectly, fixed.  These records are used in populating Texas State Reporting - PEIMS Summer - Student Attendance File.

Database Changes

  • Grading Periods (GPD) - Added the SBG Grading Mark (SMP) field.  This field allows Grading Periods to be defined specifically for Standards Based Grading.
  • Gradebook (GBK) - Added the Grading Type (GT) field.  This field allows Gradebook to associate with GRD or SBG Grading Periods.
  • Master Schedule (MST) - Added the following fields.
    • Multi-School Gradebook Enabled (MSGE) - This field indicates a section can be associated with a gradebook in another school.
    • Primary Class (PC)
  • Scheduling Master Schedule (SMS) - Added the following fields.
    • Multi-School Gradebook Enabled (MSGE) - This field indicates a section can be associated with a gradebook in another school.
    • Primary Class (PC)
  • Scheduling Master Schedule Backup (SMB) - Added the following fields.
    • Multi-School Gradebook Enabled (MSGE) - This field indicates a section can be associated with a gradebook in another school.
