Teacher Attendance: Mass apply would be more useful if it allowed any ABS code set in Portal Options to be mass applied, rather than just absence (non-ADA) codes.
Above message refers to Additional Att Codes 1 - 5.
Will the Mass Add codes/notes override existing codes or notes in those fields? It would be nice to have an option to only mass add to the empty boxes.
On the Portal Options, Attendance page, when the new option is selecting, then you are able to select any code to "Allow Mass Apply"
There is an option to "Force Overwrite". This option will overwrite absence codes previously entered by the teacher. Only unverified absence codes will be affected by the "Force Overwrite" option, verified absence codes will not be overwritten.
When NOT selecting that option, the absence codes will only be added to the empty boxes.
Understood, Kathy. Initially, I thought that, for Additional Att Codes 1 - 5, mass apply worked only when the code is not set to Count for ADA. I was mistaken. The issue I'm having is that, for this year only, we are using "P" as Additional Att Code 1 for negative attendance schools. And no matter how I code "P" in Update Absence Codes, it can't be mass applied. I thought it was an issue with the additional attendance codes, but it turns out to be an issue with the way we are using the "P" code.
Where is the Force Overwrite option so I can make sure it's NOT selected so only the empty boxes are changed?
We would like to update to the 9/15 version, but we're hearing reports from another district that this version introduces a bug which prevents teachers from uploading their grades.
I just posted a post in the Known Issues with 2 grade reporting issues.
As of the 9/15/2020 update, the following issues have been reported:
Programming is working on these issues now and we will ship an update ASAP.
The Force Overwrite option will overwrite absence codes previously entered by the teacher. Only unverified absence codes will be affected by the Force Overwrite option, verified absence codes will not be overwritten. When finished selecting the absence code click the Apply button.
