Information - Carl Perkins E2 Reporting

On May 15, 2018 CALPADS hosted a free webinar to assist local educational agencies who are funded through the Carl Perkins Program on completing their E-2 data submission reporting of the 2016-17 concentrators and completers. CALPADS will transcribe and post the webinar at a later date for those who could not join it. Please refer to CALPADS' website for a copy of the webinar.

During the webinar CALPADS recommended running the "3.15 Career Technical Education Concentrators and Completers - Student List"  Snapshot report to download the state certified list of concentrators and completers for the 2016-17 academic year. The following options need to be selected when running the report:

Academic Year:  2016-2017

Status:  Certified

Grade:  Twelfth

This report will contain all of the 12th grade concentrator/completer students included in the Perkins E-1 reporting. It is the graduated students from this list that LEAs will need to solicit answers to the survey questions from.

The report can be downloaded as a PDF, CSV or Excel file. CALPADS recommended downloading the report as a CSV or Excel file so that the survey responses could be recorded on the spreadsheet and then used to aggregate the E-2 totals to be hand-entered into the Perkins Data System.

NOTE: 3/14/2019 update: During a recent meeting we learned that the E2 2016-17 data submission window will open soon.

Hi Sonia,

This paragraph below is IN THE FUTURE, not available at this time? Correct.

If so, then again, please clarify that the E2 data will be hand entered at this time into the Carl Perkins Data Management System, and I will not be running "at this date and time" the E2 tool in Client Server.  I'm really sorry for needing this clarification.

"Aeries is working on updating the Client Carl Perkins E1/E2 reports to match the logic that Web uses with regard to the CTE Pathways Concentrators/Completers. Once that is done LEAs will use Client to run the Perkins E1 report in order to update the SSD.E1 field for concentrators/completers and then, after adding in the survey results, run the Client E2 reports/extract"

Thank you!!!

What I understood is, that we can either manually do it NOW, or wait for Aeries, while a date is specified, since they are trying to make this work before the 'to be announced deadline' is set.

They might get it done or not by then, so we probably should do it manually, or at least, have it ready to be manually add and keep it there waiting for Aeries, and use their method if they can't get it done by then.

It's up to us. Or so I assumed by this read.

Hello, do any of you have a copy of the Excel sheet that we can manually fill in so that we can upload to Aeries once they are ready to go....

After evaluating the changes that would need to be made to the Aeries Client to produce the identical results to the CALPADS 3.15 Career Technical Education Concentrators/Completers report for the Perkins E2 reporting, we have decided that it will be better for the districts to use CALPADS’ recommended method for the E2 reporting:
