Add the Summer School
Add each summer school into the School Options (LOC) table. From the Pages tab, navigate to the School Options page. Click the mouse on the Add button to add a summer school.
Once the summer schools have been added in Aeries, they do not need to be re-created for subsequent school years.
Type the Summer School number in the Code field and add the Summer School name. Type all summer school related information into the fields and select the appropriate options using the Attendance Options Chart as a guideline.
Create a Calendar
Add a calendar for the summer school session. Navigate to the Calendar page. Enter the first day of summer school and click the OK button. For detailed documentation and instructions, click the following link: Create a Calendar
Add a Bell Schedule
Adding a Bell Schedule on the School Options page identifies where a student is located throughout the day and is needed if using Positive Attendance. A Bell Schedule is not needed for Daily Attendance since the student remains with one teacher during the school day.
If using Period Attendance, enter the correct times for each period. Navigate to the School Options page, click the Add New Record button to enter the Bell Schedule and add the Period, Start Time and End Time for each summer school period.
Navigate to the School Options page, click the Add New Record button to enter the summer school Terms. Add a "Y" term that encompasses the Starting Date and Ending Date for summer school. If more than one summer school session is offered, add additional Term codes and populate the Starting Date and Ending Date for each Term. Confirm that Term codes are consistent.
