Effective for the 2019/2020 school year, students who are pending assessment/evaluations for Special Education must have an SSID - even if they are attending a private school. The student's Enrollment Start Date will be the date that the parent signed the assessment authorization. The student should be reported as "receiving services". After obtaining the SSID, if the student doesn't qualify for Special Education services, districts may exit the student as a “no-show” (N470) to essentially nullify the enrollment in CALPADS. This will prevent districts from having to submit any additional data about the student.
