Known Issue - CALPADS GERR0007 Error for the Student Program (SPRG) File - Fixed 9/6/2019

Update:  This fix is included in the update dated 9/6/2019:  The Special Education information has been removed from the Student Programs (SPRG) extract.

Error GERR0007 error is generating when submitting the Student Program (SPRG) file for students with Special Ed start dates after 6/30/2019.  This is due to the retired Education Program code of 144 - Special Education.

Programming is working on adjusting the Student Program (SPRG) file to exclude all Education Program code of 144 - Special Education records.

We are planning to ship the change next week on September 5th.

Does that mean the error will automatically resolve or will we need to change it for each student?

Hi Cristina,

You will not have to change anything for a student.  Once we ship the changes to the SPRG extract to skip the Education Program code of 144 - Special Education records, you will not receive the errors.

Great!  Thank you!

Any update on when this will be fixed?

Hi Tara,

We will be shipping the change to the SPRG file in today's update.

Update:  This fix is included in the update dated 9/6/2019:  The Special Education information has been removed from the Student Programs (SPRG) extract.

What do we do if the GERR007 error is still there?

I am also still getting the GERR0007.  Can you please advise?

Hello,

Just today I am getting the GERR0007 error in my SENR file.  The description is, "Code submitted outside the effective date range".  Is this related to the SPRG issue, above?  The records are SpEd students.  I checked the errlistv106-20190605 from CALPADS and it mentions "The values that can be submitted in a field must be effective in CALPADS. The submitted file contains values that are no longer accepted by CALPADS."  This is from the SSID Enrollment tab in the referenced errlist I mentioned.  Is this something Special Ed needs to adjust?

Thank you.

Hi Sharon,

I am not familiar with the GERR0007 error in the SENR file.  But it seems that if the student's enrollment dates are correct in Aeries and CALPADS than it is a Special Ed issue.
